UI/UX Designer
Product-minded designer for tools people use all day: dashboards, portals, flows. Figma-native, comfortable with constraints.
About the role
We build custom software systems for businesses, and strong design is a core part of how we deliver value. We need a designer who can take business requirements and turn them into clear, usable interfaces that real people will work with every day.
This is product design, not marketing design. You will be designing dashboards, data tables, form flows, approval workflows, and navigation systems. The work requires thinking about information hierarchy, user efficiency, and how people actually interact with business tools.
How we work
This is a contract role with potential to grow. We work remotely with mostly async communication. You will be involved early in projects, participating in discovery calls and helping shape the product direction before pixels are pushed.
What you will work on
Recent projects include a B2B ordering portal, a football prediction platform, financial dashboards, and various internal tools. Every project involves understanding a real business workflow and designing an interface that makes it clearer and faster.
Responsibilities
- Design user interfaces for internal tools, client portals, dashboards, and web applications
- Create user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity mockups in Figma
- Work closely with developers to ensure designs are implemented accurately
- Participate in client discovery calls to understand user needs and business context
- Design responsive layouts that work across devices
- Establish and maintain design patterns and component libraries for projects
- Iterate on designs based on feedback and real usage data
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience designing web applications, dashboards, or business tools
- Strong proficiency with Figma
- Ability to think in systems and create consistent, reusable design patterns
- Understanding of responsive design and front-end implementation constraints
- Portfolio demonstrating UI/UX work for functional applications, not just marketing sites
- Clear communication skills and comfort working directly with clients
Nice to have
- Experience designing internal tools or B2B products
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and how front-end development works
- Experience with design tokens and design system documentation
- Experience working in an agency or startup environment
